Well. Lots of stuff has being going on, and lots of stuff is coming up! There have been shows in the city, a steampunk picnic, a crappy antiques fair, a few geeky pub quiz nights, and that's just recently.

My near future looks kinda like this:
Tomorrow: Rabbit's Foot Meadery, St. John's for burgers, then Machete.
Saturday Possibly the Silicon Gulch meetup in the afternoon, definitely Green Day at Shoreline!
Sunday Indiana Jones double feature at The Retro Dome.
Wed 9/8 Rosh Hashanah at Mike's step-family's place [augh what do I wear/do/say?]
Sat 9/11 Maybe the Ren Faire at Ardenwood Farm, maybe a garage sale at Michele's, then roller derby in the evening in San Jose.
Sat 9/18 Maybe visiting with my dad in Turlock and seeing Jeremy Renner in Modesto.
Mon 9/20 Fall quarter begins! If the waitlist gods are kind to me, that is.

I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with Mike (and sometimes Elias.) We just finished Book Two: Earth. It is an awesome, awesome show. Seriously. It's a great kid's show - and it makes me so happy that there are still great kid's shows being made - but it's also just a really enjoyable show, period. I'm all emotionally involved in it. I hear the movie is the worst piece of shit in decades, but we'll probably attempt to watch it when it comes out on DVD, just so we can say we did.

I'm a quarter of the way towards my weight-loss goal as of this morning! I feel like this bit of progress will make it easier to refrain from eating junk, making excuses not to exercise and being in general a huge sloth-pig type of person.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to put together a Ramona Flowers costume for Halloween, because - right? Besides being a perfect costume for me, it has the added advantage of fiscal responsibility, since all the pieces I assemble for it, I can wear as normal clothes when I'm not Ramona.
I'm thinking the dark pink hair. I'm also thinking a wig, not necessarily because I don't want to dye my hair but because I don't want bangs. Bangs + my hair = huge mistake.
